Our Casio CDP-100 Review

Ok, lets get going with a our Casio CDP-100 review:-

The Casio CDP 100 keyboard 88 note weighted action digital piano keyboard is at the cheaper end of the piano keyboard market; but ideal for beginners and first time buyers. For those of you out there that don’t have the funds for a real piano, this cost effective alternative is certainly worth considering to get you started on the road to learning to play the piano.

The  Casio CDP-100 has been designed to give you that authentic sound and feel of the real thing. It has 88-keys that have naturally scaled hammer actions and they also have three levels of touch sensitivity; designed with the view to making your whole playing experience as realistic and satisfying as playing a real piano.

The Casio CDP-100 digital piano comes with five high quality tones including the stereo grand piano, and 4 reverb and chorus effects which will complement the range of sound effects it produces. If you are after a keyboard that has lots of options for multiple sound effects then this keyboard probably isn’t for you.

The Casio CDP 100 does come with its own integrated loudspeaker system, however, some people have commented that the  speakers are a little masked and not as sharp or crisp as they are when playing the keyboard via headphones.

Other features that we found when writing our Casio CDP-100  review:-

  • HL Sound Source
  • 32-note polyphony
  • Interface for data exchange
  • 5 stored demo pieces giving you samples of the range of sounds
  • Optional wooden stand with high quality anthracite finish

Our summary of the Casio CDP-100 review

The Casio CDP 100 would be ideal for beginners, or anyone starting out, who want to learn and give piano playing a real go; hence why this keyboard’s main feature is its authentic piano stereo sound and touch. You probably wouldn’t use this keyboard for big performances but is does have the genuine feel of a real piano and would be great for practising on.

As a basic keyboard it might not have all the typical bells and whistles that other keyboards have, but it does have all the important basic functions required for learning and playing a piano. So if you are restricted on price or have other monetary constraints the Casio CDP 100 would certainly be ideal if you want own your keyboard, but have limited funds to invest.

We hope you liked our Casio CDP-100 review. Don’t forget to consider a piano keyboard cover to protect your keyboard
